Summary
As a creative, outcome-focused Content Marketing Executive you will identify, develop, and deliver compelling content that supports and accelerates achievement of Sophos’ business goals. Being a key member of a dedicated Content Marketing team, you will help convey our brand voice and message, increase engagement with our security, product, and customer stories, and drive measurable impact across the audience journey – from prospects and existing Sophos customers to our channel partners and the wider security industry.
This role is ideal for someone who loves turning ideas into real-world outputs and can translate strategic objectives into content that performs.
What You Will Do
- Content strategy and planning
- Support the development and execution of the content marketing strategy aligned to overall business goals, target audiences, and product priorities.
- Work closely with the Brand, Product Marketing, Growth, Channel and Field marketing teams to understand key messages and execution plans and then translate them into high impact content.
- Contribute to editorial planning across campaigns, channels, and formats.
- Content creation
- Create high-quality, engaging, and on-brand content, including:
- Blogs, articles, and thought leadership pieces
- Case studies, whitepapers, and eBooks
- Website and landing page copy
- Email content
- Social media content
- Scripts for short‑form video
- Tailor content to support specific business objectives such as growth, product launches, customer acquisition, and retention.
- Ensure all content reflects our brand tone of voice and messaging frameworks.
- Work with the Creative Services and Web teams on design, formatting, and web optimization.
- Content Optimization & Performance
- Monitor content performance metrics and provide insights to improve effectiveness across channels.
- Identify how to amplify an anchor content asset across multiple formats and execution platforms.
- Content Operations
- Manage content calendars, publishing schedules, and workflows.
- Maintain content repositories and ensure content is up‑to‑date and consistent across touchpoints.
- Oversee proofreading, editing, and quality control to ensure high standards.
Special Conditions
- This is a remote role within a global, dispersed team.
- International and national travel may be required on occasion.
- Work at non-standard hours may be required on occasion.
What You Will Bring
- Proven track record of creating impactful content that translates messaging and ideas into impactful real-world materials.
- Experience of cybersecurity solutions in the Sophos portfolio, with particular interest in Endpoint, Firewall, MDR, and security services.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity.
- Strong communication – written, visual, and verbal.
- Ability to build strong relationships across cross-functional teams while working remotely.
- Experience of social media platforms and social content creation technologies.
- Ability to translate complex ideas into easy-to-consume outputs.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Fluent English language skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to analyze and report on content performance, making recommendations for improvements, and how to expand impact.
- Knowledge of content creation technologies, including when and when not to use AI to accelerate outcomes.
