What You Will Do:

  • Provide presale technical expertise to Sales teams, focusing on our most valuable channel partners to accelerate partner autonomy, increase technical proficiency, and drive revenue growth.
  • Assume technical ownership of assigned channel partners, supporting opportunity qualification and development, solution design and technical validation, demonstrations, Proof of Concepts (POCs), technical training.
  • Develop strong relationships with partner technical teams, architects, SOC teams, and business stakeholders and leverage these during the sales process.
  • Serve as trusted advisors and technical lead on Sophos products, services opportunities and best practices.
  • Conduct and manage technical virtual and onsite meetings, product demos, and proof of concepts with partners.
  • Manage and deliver training and certification programs for channel partners.
  • Own and drive the technical sales cycle from early opportunity technical qualification to technical closure.
  • Provide support for cross-selling and portfolio expansion within current Sophos customer base.
  • Evangelize Sophos by conducting trainings and speaking at Sophos events or industry groups.
  • Provide feedback to product teams and directly influence global product roadmaps and feature enhancements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry, technical and competitive landscape, identifying emerging market trends and threats.
  • Keep technical resources updated and presale activities tracked in CRM.

What You Will Bring:

  • Solid experience as a Sales/Solutions Engineer in the cybersecurity space.
  • Experience in working and supporting channel partners and customers.
  • Deep technical knowledge of networking, endpoint security concepts, managed detection and response (MDR), business requirements and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with Sophos solutions or similar competitive products is a strong plus.
  • Deep understanding of modern ransomware campaigns.
  • Degree in computer science or computer engineering is highly preferred.
  • Certifications in security is a plus.
  • Knowledge of security software industry, including competitors, market needs and trends.
  • Strong presentation, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, presenting technical solutions to audiences of both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Must be motivated, self-starter, and be able to deal with ambiguity and work in a fast pace environment.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to substantial travel in support of partners, and also for conferences and training.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
