We are looking for a seasoned events professional to own our global event strategy from flagship tradeshows to internal sales summits and the systems that help regional teams show up consistently everywhere in between. You will set the standard for how Sophos presents itself to customers, partners, prospects, and the broader security community, ensuring every experience is on‑brand, operationally tight, and worth remembering. AI fluency is a baseline expectation of this role.
What You Will Do
- Global Events and Tradeshows: Lead end‑to‑end execution for Black Hat, RSA, Gartner, it‑sa, and other major shows working alongside field marketing in regions. Own booth strategy, messaging hierarchy, and brand environment. Coordinate across design, product marketing, and field sales.
- Internal and Partner Events: Drive planning and execution for Sales Kickoff, President's Club, launch events, and more. Align branding, messaging, content production, and logistics. Manage global and regional formats including hybrid delivery.
- Regional Scale‑out via Event Activation Kits: Build a tiered library of pre‑defined event kits for regional and field teams. Define booth aesthetics, activations, swag, and messaging by event type and scale. Ensure regional teams can execute consistently without starting from scratch.
- Brand & Creative Standards and Systems: Define and govern event brand standards globally. Oversee swag strategy, vendor relationships, and production timelines. Drive global consistency of Sophos branded promotional items and attire. Partner with Design to evolve booth creative year over year.
- Speaker Activation via Speaker Bureau Partnership: Partner with Public Relations on speaker bureau activation at events. PR owns bureau member identification and training; this role owns event‑level preparation and on‑site execution. Align speaker opportunities to event strategy and Sophos messaging priorities.
- Cross‑Functional Stakeholder Alignment: Serve as the central coordination point across field sales, channel, product marketing, PR, and design. Build event calendars, reporting frameworks, and post‑event measurement practices. Identify and curate corporate promotional sponsorship opportunities to elevate the Sophos brand. Manage budgets across a portfolio of global events.
What You Will Bring
- Required: 6+ years in B2B event management, with at least 2 in a global or multi‑regional scope. Experience owning major tradeshow presence: booth strategy, build, logistics, and activation. Track record running large‑scale internal events: SKO, sales rallies, or partner summits. Demonstrated ability to build scalable systems and toolkits, not just execute individual events. Strong vendor and agency management skills. Proficiency using AI tools for planning, content development, and operational efficiency; this is a standard expectation of the role. Sharp communicator comfortable with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional partners.
- Preferred: Background in cybersecurity or enterprise technology. Experience with channel or partner‑facing event formats. Familiarity coordinating with PR or communications teams on speaker programs. Exposure to webinar or virtual event production at scale. Comfortable working across time zones with globally distributed teams. Experience applying AI tools to event personalization, attendee engagement, or logistics workflows.
Compensation: In the United States, the base salary for this role ranges from $126,000 to $210,000. In Canada, the base salary ranges from $120,000 to $200,000. In addition to base salary, we offer bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package. Pay is based on skills, training, location, experience, education, certifications, and other business needs.
Benefits: Remote‑first working model; applicants must have legal authorization to work in the jurisdiction where the position is posted, without requiring employer sponsorship. Inclusive culture with diversity and inclusion networks. Annual charity and fundraising initiatives and volunteer days. Environmental sustainability initiatives. Well‑being days and monthly webinars and training to support employee health.
