We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor with a strong reputation across the South East. Due to continued growth, they’re looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, managing infrastructure and groundworks packages from pre-contract through to final account.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare take-offs and assist with tender reviews
- Measure works on site and prepare valuations
- Manage variations, forecasts, and interim applications
- Monitor budgets and resource allocation
- Procure and manage subcontractor accounts
- Support claims and assess commercial risks
- Maintain internal commercial procedures
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in groundworks and civils
- Strong contractual and commercial understanding
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- CSCS card
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
- RICS or equivalent membership
