This role is ideal for someone with experience in the music industry who wants to manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring their varied needs are met while delivering high-quality financial and business management services. You will report to the Business Services Manager, Director, or Partner, and play a key role in mentoring and supporting junior staff. It offers an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in music-industry finance and business management while maintaining strong client relationships.

Other duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing a portfolio of music-industry clients and acting as their primary point of contact.
  • Preparing financial statements, management accounts, and tour profit & loss accounts.
  • Overseeing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including processing payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Advising clients on financial and tax implications, UK VAT, and accounting principles.
  • Mentoring and supervising junior staff, reviewing work, and providing feedback for development.
  • Liaising confidently with artists, agents, managers, promoters, and external partners.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and taxation regulations.
  • Continuously improving processes and offering proactive solutions for clients and the team.

About You

We are looking for someone with exceptional interpersonal skills, financial literacy, and a proactive approach. You will be highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will also have:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a relevant music-industry role (finance, business management, touring finance, or artist management).
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, AAT) or actively studying.
  • Strong understanding of accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks Online) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Leadership experience, including mentoring junior staff.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with people at different levels.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and commercially minded.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience in a dynamic environment.
