We're looking for a Marketing & Business Development Manager to join our team in Borehamwood and with frequent travel to our Mayfair, London office. As this is a pivotal position within the firm we are flexible on securing the right candidate up to a Director level. This is a hands‑on, commercially minded role where you will take ownership of marketing, communications, digital content, events and business development support, using modern digital tools and AI to improve quality, consistency and efficiency. This role will define and build the firm's marketing function, creating structure, processes and content foundations for the future.
Key responsibilities:- Own and deliver the firm's annual marketing and business development plan aligned to strategy and priority sectors.
- Support partners with pitches, proposals, credentials and client development activity.
- Manage the firm's website, LinkedIn presence and external communications.
- Deliver campaigns, newsletters, thought leadership and event communications.
- Build and maintain AI-enabled workflows, templates and content libraries.
- Improve and automate marketing processes including reporting, content scheduling and event follow‑up.
- Work with IT and operations to enhance systems, CRM usage, data quality and marketing infrastructure.
- Coordinate internal communications and selected firm events.
- Track and report on marketing activity, spend and outcomes.
You are a commercially minded marketing professional who can operate independently, work with senior stakeholders and turn technical input into clear, client‑ready messaging. You combine strong communication skills with practical digital capability and a modern approach to marketing, including confident use of AI tools to improve output and efficiency. You are comfortable building structure from scratch and improving how marketing is done, not just delivering tasks.
You’ll also bring:- 5+ years' experience in marketing, communications, business development or a client‑facing professional services role.
- Strong digital marketing experience (website content, LinkedIn, email marketing, CRM and campaigns).
- Confident use of AI tools and modern platforms (Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint; CRM systems; Canva or Adobe advantageous).
- Strong written English, high attention to detail and ability to maintain brand consistency.
- Experience building templates, workflows or scalable marketing systems.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders or partners.
- Degree‑level education or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, business or media.
