SOOM is an integrated marketing agency that specialises in franchise recruitment.

We help franchisors across the UK and internationally find the right franchise candidates, qualify them properly, and get them in front of the franchisor ready to talk.

We do that through a range of marketing practices including PPC, SEO, email, business listing sites and web development, tied together with automation and AI so that every channel feeds the next rather than working in isolation.

We work with brands including Ben & Jerry's, Shell, Petpals, Concept Claims and Jackson Fire & Security.

We are upfront, honest and direct with clients.

If something is not working, we say so and we fix it.

We are a small, senior team. That means whoever takes this role will own real client relationships from day one, not sit three layers down from them.

The role

You are the person our clients speak to. You own the relationship, the communication and the confidence a franchisor has in what we are doing for them.

Franchise recruitment is not a volume game.

Our clients do not want 500 enquiries where 90% go no where, they want the right candidates, qualified, sitting in a meeting.

That means your job is not simply to report numbers.

It is to understand what those numbers mean for the client's growth plan, explain it clearly, and work with our specialists to improve it.

You sit between the client and our delivery team, translating in both directions.

  • What you will be doing
  • Client relationships
  • Own a portfolio of franchisor accounts as their main day to day contact
  • Build genuine, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, often franchise directors and business owners
  • Run regular calls and reviews, keeping clients informed before they have to ask
  • Handle difficult conversations honestly and early, including when performance is below expectation
  • Campaign oversight and delivery
  • Oversee campaign progress across PPC, SEO, email, listings and web, making sure work is on brief, on time and on budget
  • Brief our internal specialists clearly and chase delivery so nothing stalls
  • Work with our franchise broker on candidate quality, feeding what the franchisor is actually seeing back into targeting and messaging
  • Spot problems and opportunities early rather than reporting on them after the fact
  • Reporting and insight
  • Build and present clear, accurate reports on campaign performance, lead volume, lead quality, cost per qualified candidate and meetings booked
  • Interpret the data, not just present it. Explain what changed, why, and what we are doing about it
  • Prepare and lead monthly and quarterly review meetings
  • Managing expectations and scope
  • Set realistic expectations at the start and hold the line on them
  • Manage scope, flagging when requests fall outside the agreed retainer and handling that conversation commercially
  • Keep the client's commercial picture in view, including budgets, renewals and invoicing queries alongside our Accounts and Admin function
  • Onboarding and account growth
  • Onboard new clients, gathering everything needed to launch quickly and cleanly
  • Identify opportunities to grow accounts where additional services would genuinely deliver for the client
  • Contribute to retention and renewal of your portfolio
  • Process and internal
  • Keep the CRM, account notes and documentation accurate and current
  • Contribute to improving how we run accounts, we are actively building better internal process and want input, not passengers

Who we are looking for

  • Experience managing client relationships in a marketing agency, or a comparable client facing role where you owned the relationship
  • Confident presenting performance data and holding your own with senior stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing channels, enough to discuss PPC, SEO and email credibly and challenge a specialist sensibly.
  • You do not need to be able to run the campaigns yourself
  • Strong written and verbal communication, clear and concise, no waffle
  • Genuinely organised, able to run multiple accounts and deadlines without dropping things
  • Comfortable with honest conversations, including delivering bad news
  • Commercially aware, understands that a happy client and a profitable account are not the same thing
  • Experience in franchising, franchise recruitment or lead generation
  • Experience with lead quality metrics rather than pure traffic and impressions
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation tools such as Mailchimp, Google ads, GA4, Meta Ads, GTM, Chat GPT and Claude.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Looker Studio, GA4 or similar
  • What you get
  • Quarterly retention bonus
  • 28 days holiday + Birthday off
  • Company Pension
  • Team socials
  • Training and personal development programs
  • Direct access to the leadership team and real influence over how the business runs
  • Work with recognised national and international brands from a small team where your contribution is visible
