This role will be a full‐time, 12‐month fixed‐term contract starting Monday 6th July 2026 and will be paid the London living wage.
The Sony Pictures Theatrical Marketing team based in London have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Marketing Intern to join their team. The UK theatrical marketing team are responsible for the planning, development and implementation of the marketing campaigns for Sony Pictures Movies. The department covers all marketing areas, including advertising, publicity and promotions and this position will be within our Digital marketing team.
We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in digital marketing, a passion for social media, is conscientious, a team player and willing to go the extra mile. This is the perfect opportunity to work in the fast‐moving world of movie marketing and take the first step in your career!
What you'll do:
- Order creative assets e.g. Digital TV spots on Panther as advised by the digital team, supply assets to creative agencies
- Coordination, cross‐checking and screen‐grabbing of bought digital media campaigns via our media agency MGOMD, including display, programmatic and social media for specific titles
- Updating the performance of Sony trailer launches via Sony Pictures View Tracker
- Review of social posting calendar across all Theatrical UK social media channels, supporting the Digital Marketing Executive
- Review and recommend creators & influencers to work with on our campaigns based on brand suitability and creative executions
- Management of digital contact database, including invites for screenings and premieres
- Support Digital Marketing Exec with allocation of merchandise, online competitions & media desk drops
- Co‐ordination of all campaign assets available and utilising our Sony Asset Tracker
- Update internal reporting minutes
- Compile wrap reports on each title
- Raising POs, including dealing with finance‐related requests and travel bookings
What you have:
- Ideally, a recent graduate with no more than 1 year of experience
- Passion & knowledge of social media and interested in all aspects of digital – must have a good understanding of and be an active user of social media
- PowerPoint & Excel proficient and familiar with Google Docs
- Excellent computer skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), along with Internet & Research proficiency
- Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication, with excellent grammar and punctuation
- Known to be a motivated and thoughtful team player
- Must possess exceptional organisational and follow‐through skills and be able to multitask and prioritise with great attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships internally and externally
- Have the confidence to connect with colleagues at all levels concisely and professionally
- Proactively contribute to the department through research and awareness of the industry and contacts, and also through striving to improve office systems and processes
- Have a strong inclination to take initiative and solve problems independently
- Will thrive when working in a fast‐paced environment with shifting priorities and last‐minute deadlines
