We are looking for a Strategy & Planning Assistant Manager for Marketing Platforms to support the Strategy & Planning team in driving digital transformation, marketing-technology adoption, and strategic planning efficiency across Pan-European Marketing Communications. The role provides a hands-on opportunity to learn how business performance KPIs, data, and technology come together to improve marketing impact. It is a developmental position designed to build future capability in strategic project management, KPI analytics, and MarTech innovation. Though you won’t manage people in the role, you will partner with your manager and continue to deliver a high-impact function, with exciting projects that enable better outcomes for the company. The role also supports B2B CRM areas in email customer retention activities for B2B businesses by coordinating with European business stakeholders, reviewing performance results and continuously improving its operation.
You should be someone who is innovative, who keeps up to date with marketing technologies. You should have passion, curiosity, and an experimentation mindset, and should have some experience in digital transformation and change management to help them understand how to implement new tools and processes.
You will:
- Assist in planning, tracking, and reporting of strategic and MarTech initiatives (e.g., PXM on-boarding, DAM Asset Hub, AI translation, automation tools).
- Learn and apply Sony’s business performance frameworks; help prepare dashboards linking marketing activities to ROI, efficiency and sales impact.
- Support implementation of new marketing platforms – testing, user feedback collection and training material preparation.
- Help identify workflow bottlenecks, document processes and suggest simplification or automation opportunities.
- Email set-up in MSD system according to the brief from business stakeholders, create/coordinate language variations for key European markets, provide email performance results, participate in the eCRM strategy discussions and programs (if applicable).
You will bring:
- Strong interest in MarTech, data analytics and project management.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Power BI advantageous.
- Analytical and structured thinking with attention to detail.
- Curiosity to learn systems such as Aprimo, Salsify, and AI tools (e.g., DeepL, Storyteq).
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages welcome.
