Our friendly, fast-paced and collaborative finance team is home to where you’ll play an important role in keeping our numbers accurate, insightful, and impactful. As the Accounting Expert for Inventory & SG&A, you’ll take ownership of key reporting areas, ensuring everything adds up whilst also helping the business to understand what the numbers really mean, and how they can make best use of them.

You’ll work with diverse teams across Europe, building strong relationships and getting involved in more than just the day-to-day accounting. There’s plenty of opportunity to improve how things are done, get involved in innovative automation projects, and work with large, complex data sets to spot trends and identify issues (before they arise!). We feel this role would be ideal for an individual with a strong technical accounting background, looking for more commercial exposure and who enjoys a varied mix of technical accounting and business partnering, or for somebody looking to gain experience in the Media & Technology industry at a leading brand.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage inventory and SG&A accounting including costing, stock valuation, write-downs, in-transit goods, duties & levies, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Lead month-end close and reporting cycles, ensuring accurate P&L and Balance Sheet results, and clear variance analysis against budget and forecast.
  • Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and provisions, including work from offshore teams, ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policies and IFRS.
  • Partner with business stakeholders across Europe, building relationships and providing financial insight to support decision-making.
  • Support process improvements and automation initiatives, helping to standardise procedures and enhance efficiency across the business.
  • Ensure governance and compliance, liaising with statutory and compliance teams, maintaining controls, and supporting senior management reporting.

Your qualifications:

  • Part Qualified/Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or Qualified by experience)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel ability
  • Demonstrable extensive inventory management and associated tasks within a relevant industry in a large, complex, fast-paced environment.
  • A Pro-active, independent approach to work with a desire to bring new ideas and challenge status quo.
  • Impressive data & analytics skills (capacity to build dashboard / manage large set of data / Power-bi & Power Pivot)
  • Strong business-partnering skills (collaboration, communication & a natural drive to take projects forward)
  • Experience of working with complex Accounting & Finance software tools e.g. SAP/Oracle
