Role Overview:

We are looking for a HR Officer to join our HR team. Working as part of the People Department, the successful candidate in this role will be involved in all aspects of HR as well as supporting the company’s operations and employees. In this role, you will contribute to the efficiency of HR processes by delivering reliable and precise coordination that fuels our innovative efforts. We’re looking for someone with a proactive attitude, exceptional organisational abilities, and a dedication to cultivating a positive and collaborative work environment. Throughout your role, you must ensure consistency is maintained and all actions are in line with UK employment law and ACAS guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting employee lifecycle by producing contracts of employment, issuing new starter packs and employee letters.
  • Update and maintain accurate employee records within HR systems and databases.
  • Provide support for employee relations matters by scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and preparing relevant documentation.
  • Assist with payroll-related tasks to ensure smooth processing.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including scheduling and attending interviews and managing candidate feedback.
  • Support the absence management process.
  • Coordinate the leaver process.
  • Highly organized, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, analytical skills and passionate about improving processes.
  • A high level of confidentiality and trustworthiness with the ability to be discreet.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Proactive and pragmatic in approach.
  • Strong administration skills; Advance Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work both as a team and independently to achieve objectives.
  • Good understanding of UK employment law.
  • Previous experience working within a Human Resources team.
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of operating within a unionised environment.
