The EMEA Payroll Analyst role is an operational role designed to provide leading payroll and vendor management services support to Sony Interactive Entertainment. This role is positioned within the People Experience team within HR. You will be responsible for working with external payroll vendor partnership(s), payroll operations and execution, and supporting the production of accurate and timely payroll results across EMEA.

What you’ll be doing

  • Relationship Management: Provide exceptional experiences, resulting in high customer satisfaction. Liaise between outsource provider and functional staff to bring issues to resolution within provided service level agreements. Work closely with HR, Compensation, Benefits, Finance and other departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes. Communicate effectively with internal partners regarding payroll policies, changes, and timelines.
  • Payroll Services: Working closely with the outsource payroll service provider to ensure delivery of the payroll processes and results. Oversee the preparation and processing of payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and legal regulations. Review and validate payroll data and ensure timely submission to the payroll vendor, reviewing outputs in line with payroll calendars. Act as the main point of contact between the company and the payroll vendor. Collaborate with the vendor to resolve any payroll discrepancies and ensure alignment with service level agreements (SLAs). Develop positive relationships with payroll vendors. Provide responsive, accurate, and timely resolution for common payroll queries. See opportunities for enhancing payroll processes and efficiencies in collaboration with the vendor. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure the Standard Operating Procedures manual is kept up to date with current payroll service provider model practices and procedures. Liaise with vendor/3rd parties in relation to the processing of international assignees shadow payrolls and audit pay to ensure results agree with recommendations from mobility services.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience of in house and/or managed service payroll within a large, complex international organisation.
  • Hands‑on experience working with EMEA payrolls, with an understanding of country‑specific legislation, compliance requirements, and operational nuances.
  • Good technical knowledge of statutory payments, pension/auto‑enrolment, manual calculations.
  • Ability to input into and review change requests, collaborating across multiple teams and partners to obtain input.
  • Passion for providing exceptional quality service and striving for exceeding clients' expectations.
  • Proactive anticipations of issues and developing collaborative relationships with upstream and downstream functions.
  • Solid understanding of general HR processes and data, including eligibility and procedures, to provide expected correct downstream pay result outcomes.

  • CIPP and/or equivalent qualification.
  • Expatriate processing experience and mobility understanding.
