This is a hands‑on technical role focused on second‑line support, infrastructure operations, monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and service improvement. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, operational problem‑solving, and working across a broad technical estate. You’ll act as a bridge between traditional IT support and DevOps operations, helping improve service quality, operational maturity, and day‑to‑day reliability across the environment. You’ll take ownership of repeatable and business‑critical technical tasks, contribute to better documentation and processes, and work closely with senior engineers, developers, and support teams to resolve issues efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing and triaging operational support tickets
  • Investigating technical and infrastructure issues
  • Providing advanced desktop and endpoint support across Windows, Linux, and macOS
  • Supporting infrastructure administration and maintenance activities
  • Monitoring alerts and carrying out first‑line remediation
  • Supporting vulnerability remediation and patch management processes
  • Maintaining and improving operational runbooks and documentation
  • Assisting with onsite support, and hands‑on troubleshooting when required
  • Improving escalation quality and support processes
  • Contributing to operational stability, repeatability, and continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with strong second‑line troubleshooting skills and a practical, investigative mindset. You should ideally have experience with:

  • Windows, Linux, and macOS support
  • Infrastructure and endpoint troubleshooting
  • Ticketing systems such as Jira or similar platforms
  • Monitoring and alerting tools
  • Patching and vulnerability management processes
  • Networking fundamentals and access control concepts
  • Scripting or automation for operational tasks
  • Documentation and process improvement

Experience or familiarity with DevOps environments, tooling, or operational support models would be a strong advantage. You should also be:

  • Comfortable working across multiple teams and technologies
  • Organised and process‑oriented
  • Confident communicating with both technical and non‑technical users
  • Interested in continuous improvement and operational maturity
  • Comfortable using AI‑assisted workflows and tooling as part of day‑to‑day support activities

Why Join Us?

This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad and modern technical environment while developing skills in both IT operations and DevOps support. You’ll gain exposure to infrastructure, developer platforms, monitoring, automation, and operational engineering practices while working closely with experienced technical teams. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow into a broader infrastructure, platform, or DevOps engineering career path.
