Overview

The SPE management team has made a strategic decision to segment transactional digital retail clients into groups to be managed under differentiated operational models. Historically, SPE has managed all retail relationships locally. With the continued globalization of the business, we now intend to establish three portfolio management hubs, one in EMEA, one in APAC and one covering the Americas with each responsible for a defined group of account/retail relationships across their region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility for all identified portfolio accounts, transitioning ownership from local teams into a centralized regional portfolio management structure.
  • Review all retailers nominated for portfolio management and determine which should be retained under revised terms and which should be exited.
  • Establish service tiers for retailers within the managed portfolio (Gold, Silver, Bronze).
  • Put plans in place to increase the value/revenue from the portfolio over time through operational efficiencies and improvements, better cost control and focus on the highest opportunity accounts.
  • In the first phase, review all existing agreements and partner with Legal to define the transition path toward standardized contractual terms.
  • Apply service levels based on the assigned tier (e.g., standard wholesale pricing, lifecycle declines, light-touch support, no pre-orders, no premium windows, self-service marketing assets).
  • Collaborate with the designated Marketing representative to deliver support to portfolio partners in line with their service tier.
  • Own the overall revenue growth targets for the portfolio, including monthly performance tracking, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Define criteria for retailer movement between tiers or transition out of the portfolio back into local territory management based on performance or strategic relevance.
  • Build deep subject-matter expertise in managing a multi-territory retail portfolio through the annual lifecycle of the transactional business.

Skills and Experience:

Knowledge:

  • Deep, hands-on understanding of the end-to-end digital transactional business.
  • Experience in transactional sales, home entertainment (HE) business development, and digital retail operations with demonstrated success.
  • Proven ability to manage digital retail relationships and operational workflows with strong results.
  • Experience leading or working within cross-functional and virtual teams.
  • Program management experience, including initiating, owning, and delivering projects and processes.
  • Experience working across multiple territories and navigating diverse business cultures.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and the intellectual agility to engage clients and internal teams collaboratively.
  • High degree of numeracy and comfort with data-driven analysis.

Skills / Abilities:

  • Ability to operate as a commercial consultant with strong diplomatic and interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled in account management, sales, and negotiation.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply transactional licensing agreements effectively.
  • Experience partnering with Legal to draft licensing agreements and acting as the primary commercial lead with external partners.
  • Flexibility and agility in approach, with the ability to influence and develop internal teams and client relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong consumer focus and market awareness.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Ability to leverage insights and data in collaboration with central transactional teams to inform commercial strategy.
  • Proven ability to set strategic direction and communicate effectively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment, delivering value to HE consumers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong financial discipline and commitment to a data-driven operating model.
  • Process-oriented mindset with an entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving.
