Please note that this role is based in the United Kingdom. This role will be a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract starting Monday, 6th July 2026 and will be paid the London living wage.

The UK Sales & Distribution Team consists of 6 people – Director of Sales & Distribution, Director of Technical & Distribution, x 2 Senior Sales Executives, Sales Executive and a Technical Manager. This team positions, sells, distributes and implements the Theatrical (Cinema) Release of all Sony Pictures Film releases in the UK. They work closely with UK Exhibition, Sony Marketing, Finance & Publicity Teams, and Logistics and Technical Companies to ensure that Sony products get the best trailer placements, the most commercially viable release date, timely delivery and the best and most suitable cinema release with an aim to maximising both the overall Gross Box Office, and Sony’s margin. They nurture the film through its Theatrical release, and provide reporting and analysis at each step as the need arises. In addition to their UK remit, all roles work alongside & support our Irish Office.
What you'll do:
- Provide comprehensive admin support to the Sales Team
- Proactively secure release date bookings with independent cinemas.
- Help manage and maintain all Sales statistical analysis and Market intelligence info
- Support to Book and organise meetings, conference calls, and Exhibitor Screenings
- Work daily on software systems such as DEX (bookings), InterPlan, SAP (purchase orders) and Salesforce.
- Compile research on film release dates, the UK Marketplace and competitive titles
- Help with the creation of presentations for the team (PowerPoint, Excel etc)
- Provide a daily update on Industry News articles.
- Provide help and support to sales accounts during periods of leave on the team
- Watching Sony Film releases and competitor Film titles in the market
- Support for the Technical Manager, covering admin responsibilities
What you'll learn:
- You will gain an in-depth and practical understanding of a film's journey to the big screen and the customer.
- About the commercial sales and marketing positioning of films,
- How UK Exhibitors book and play our films and the reporting and revenue cycle that follows.
- You will learn about the different types of film, Cinema chains, programming styles and release patterns.
- An understanding of the technical aspects of film Exhibition & Distribution, and meeting many of the key industry stakeholders across Distribution & Cinema Exhibition.
- You will experience first-hand the journey of selecting a release date, marketing, promoting & selling a film into Cinema chains, and analysing the commercial results and how they plug into other areas (eg Home Ent.) of the film revenue cycle.
- Most importantly, you will get to work as part of a fun, friendly and experienced team, whilst being allowed to provide fresh insight into our films, strategy and processes!

- PC literate, with intermediate Outlook and Word skills and advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Organised and thorough, with the ability to coordinate, prioritise and manage time appropriately.
- Builds effective relationships with internal and external contacts.
