Sony Music’s Product Design Engineering and Global Operations (PDEGO) Team is looking for an Engineering Manager to build and evolve our Pub Admin product within our ever-growing team in our King’s Cross Office (London). Pub Admin is our unified, modern rights and royalty platform – where our engineers help transform a complex domain into simple, scalable, high-performance product solutions for Sony Music’s global songwriting community.

What you’ll do:

  • Cultivate a high-performance agile development team balancing executing new features while maintaining our existing system health
  • Manage a team of full-stack engineers to deliver internal platforms
  • Hold regular 1:1s, mentor engineers, and work with contractors
  • Work with Directors to drive engineering vision
  • Work with product to develop solutions that align with business cases and strategy
  • Constantly improve our platforms
  • Experiment with new technologies and integrate them into our stack when appropriate

Who you are:

  • We’re seeking an Engineering Manager with 7+ years of experience who has experience working in an agile team
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills paired with the ability to drive complex projects
  • Interested in music and in learning the intricacies of the music business
  • Able to influence cross-functional teams and create a consensus between engineering teams
  • Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills
  • Experience with React/frontend JS is a plus
  • 2+ years in an engineering management role
  • 5+ years of experience building and maintaining complex software products
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests
  • Experience reviewing code changes
