Sony Music is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic intern to join our Artist Relations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in the music industry and learn how we support our artists behind the scenes. As an Intern, you’ll assist with a variety of tasks that help the team run smoothly. This includes getting stuck in and helping to organise exciting events and awards parties. A key part of your role will be supporting with ticket distribution for tours, and providing general administrative support. You’ll work closely with the team to gain insight into how we build and maintain strong relationships with our artists and key stakeholders.

We’re looking for someone who is proactive and keen to learn, with strong communication skills, both written and verbal. You should be organised, detail-oriented, energetic, approachable, and ready to be a supportive team player. This role is not in the A&R (Artist and Repertoire) department.

Role Overview:

  • Office attendance: Monday to Thursday
  • Flexibility: Occasional further working from home days if approved by department head
  • Offsite working: The role involves regular off-site work, including attendance at events outside standard working hours and occasional weekend commitments.

What you'll do:

  • Supporting the team with all touring, ticket allocation and administrative duties.
  • Working closely with our Artist Relations Coordinator to distribute tickets and liaise with promoters and Sony Music employees, ensuring all related admin is completed accurately and on-time.
  • Provide administrative support to the team in relation to internal and external playbacks and events.
  • Helping with guest lists and tasks at each event as required. Larger events will include the Brits and corporate parties.
  • Leading on smaller scale artist, fan & influencer events and activations.
  • Responsible for completing admin activities for the above events and tours including processing invoices, arranging backstage passes and hospitality at shows and continual maintenance of wristbands.
  • Be ready to provide quick, on-the-spot support for artists or key stakeholders during events, helping ensure everything runs smoothly under pressure.
  • Support the coordination of gifts for artist and staff birthdays, weddings, and other major life events, contributing ideas and helping to ensure thoughtful and timely gestures are delivered.
  • Assist in keeping artist and stakeholder information up to date to help with planning and admin tasks for key annual events.

Process Overview:

Applications open August 10th at 10:00 and close August 24th at 10:00. Candidates whose applications are selected will be invited to complete a video interview between September 28th and October 3rd. Candidates who pass this stage will then be invited to the final stage of the process, an in-person assessment centre in early November. We will send further information on this stage before the date arrives. Successful applicants will start in January 2027.
