An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Show Accountant to join the finance department of Senbla Ltd and Luna Entertainment Group Ltd, part of the Sony Masterworks Live Division. In this role, you will support the end-to-end management and processing of venue settlements and bookkeeping for all UK shows, working closely under the guidance of the Finance Director. The approx. split of work between entities is 75% Senbla and 25% Luna.
What you'll do
- Book keeping
- Processing supplier invoices and weekly BACS payments and setting up new supplier accounts
- Raise customer sales invoices, chase debtors
- Processing monthly credit card spends, Revolut spends, ensure all receipts are received
- Monitoring and reconciling supplier statements, credit cards and show floats
- Monitoring supplier and debtor month-end positions
- Performing bank reconciliations across multiple bank accounts
- Overseeing the Accounts inbox, respond to finance-related queries from suppliers and budget holders
- Supporting year-end audits
- Chase final venue settlements for all shows
- Liaise with Promoters and budget holders when queries arise during settlement process
- Review venue settlements upon receipt and post to the Xero accounting system
- Maintain accurate records of settlement status and processing progress
- Ensure all venue settlements are processed by month-end
- Provide monthly status reports on settlement processing to FD
- Maintain clear audit trail of all settlement activities and approvals
- Assist FD and Operations team with updates to show P&Ls
- Support FD with preliminary Show reconciliations
- Identification and resolution of issues where they arise
- Apply a continuous improvement mind-set to identify or support development of robust and efficient processes and system improvements
- Develop strong relationships within finance and the wider business
Who you are
- At least 2 years' experience in concert promotions, event management or music industry finance.
- Excellent numeracy skills with strong attention to detail and proficiency in Excel
- Understanding of FEU taxation and Withholding tax
- Studying towards a finance qualification - AAT/CIMA/ACCA
- Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to manage daily deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for chasing settlements and liaising with venues
- Ability to work methodically through high-volume processing tasks
- Excellent understanding of financial processes and reconciliation principles
- Ability to work to tight deadlines in a pressured environment
