Sony Music's Product, Design, Engineering, and Global Operations (or PDEGO) Team is looking for a Software Engineer to join our development team in our King’s Cross London Office.
What you’ll do:
- Work with a cross‑functional team to build products that empower artists, labels and record labels across the globe.
- Contribute to all tiers of our architecture to produce high quality, robust user experiences.
- Design, communicate and execute a vision in collaboration with your team and other teams across the technology organization.
- Work closely with product management to understand client requirements.
- Participate in re‑architecture, refinement and technical design of various systems.
- Mentor more junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
Who you are:
- Seeking 8+ years of software engineering experience in the following areas:
- Experience with microservices, APIs, and related standards such as REST, HTTP, and OAuth.
- Experience building full‑stack web applications (we use TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Python).
- Experience with various database technologies and query languages (we use Neo4j, MySQL, Snowflake, Elasticsearch, and more).
- Experience with low‑latency techniques to help improve page load time and reliability.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests.
- Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud technologies.
- Comfortable working in an agile team.
