We are seeking a talented Finance Manager to assist in the accounting process, ensuring seamless financial operations across our Sony Music UK merchandise companies of Ceremony of Roses & Probity. You will have two direct reports to assist with the below processes and will oversee the accurate monthly reporting process for COR UK. This is a 12 month fixed term contract with a start date of July 2026.
What you will do
- Ceremony of Roses & Probity - Touring: Planning & reporting on the UK & European touring merchandise operation, improving the new process for European sales with Sony Music affiliates. Liaising with the business across each tour life cycle to ensure end to end reporting is completed in a timely & tax compliant manner and artists receive their tour settlement statements in line with their agreements.
- Ceremony of Roses - Retail & Licensing: Implement and execute end to end process of retail & licensing revenue channels to ensure completeness of information. Track the monthly performance against forecast & provide commentary. Review retail & licensing royalty statements for month-end accounting and artist reporting.
- Ceremony of Roses - New Business: Take ownership and develop finance processes for new merchandise channels (incl. retail stores, pop ups, non-music events). Liaise with affiliate companies in non-UK territories to provide settlement reporting in accordance with deal deadlines. Perform month-end activities relating to new business channels which involves applying revenue recognition and royalty accrual calculations.
- Additional: Data maintenance in new sales & inventory system. Liaise and support AP & AR teams to action client requests and monitor AP & AR ledgers as part of month-end process. Assist in statutory audit requests. Prepare COR UK VAT returns (UK VAT & Import One Stop Shop). Day to day admin assistance and systems support to the business e.g. B pack, Concur, SAP and cash allocation.
Who you are
- Taking ownership of role & tasks with ability to problem-solve.
- Retail, merchandise & licensing accounting experience.
- Fully qualified accountant is preferable.
- Experience with SAP, highly skilled in MS Excel and have a solid proficiency in other MS applications.
- Able to review current processes and propose efficiencies.
- Understanding of physical goods importing and exporting procedures.
- UK & EU VAT Laws (e.g. movement of goods, Intrastat reporting) & knowledge of physical goods importing and exporting procedures.
