The Role
Sony Music\βs Product Design Engineering & Global Operations (PDEGO) team is seeking a
Director of Product Management
to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of two of our product areas, Fan Engagement & Data.
You\βll define and scale the long-term vision for Fan Engagement and Data products across Sony, guiding product direction, execution excellence, data integration, and adoption in partnership with Product, Engineering, Design, Data Science, Digital Marketing, Labels, and external partners. You will operate both as a strategic leader and a hands-on product owner when needed, shaping product culture, elevating execution standards, and leading a team of PMs to deliver high-impact, outcome-focused solutions.
This role sits at the intersection of technology, data, and creative storytelling, built for a leader who thrives in fast-moving environments, understands the value of meaningful experiences between artists and fans, and is excited to build the future of global fan engagement.
What You\βll Do
Vision, Strategy & Roadmap β
- Own the end-to-end product strategy, shaping short- and long-term vision for Fan Engagement and Data products across Sony Music.
- Translate vision into execution β setting clear priorities, outcomes, and measurable success frameworks aligned with business and creator value.
- Partner with executive stakeholders to define product investment, market positioning, experimentation priorities, and go-to-market strategy.
Product Leadership & Delivery β
- Lead and grow a high-performing product team: mentoring and managing PMs, promoting craft excellence, and fostering a product culture grounded in data, user value, and storytelling.
- Oversee backlog management, ensuring delivery momentum while balancing technical complexity, business needs, and UX quality.
- Drive agile ceremonies, feature planning, and iterative release strategies that speed time-to-value without sacrificing product excellence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration β
- Operate as a senior strategic partner to Product, Design, Engineering, Data, and Label teams; nurture deep collaboration and unblock teams proactively.
- Work closely with Data & Analytics leadership to integrate fan insights, segmentation, and KPIs into product decision-making and feature development.
- Build strong relationships across Sony Music labels, creators, commercial leadership, and artist teams; translating needs into actionable user stories and high-impact capabilities.
Scalability + Growth β
- Oversee product growth, rollouts, and adoption plans in partnership with product marketing and internal stakeholders.
- Establish KPI frameworks and run experiments to drive iteration, engagement, and retention.
- Advocate for Fansifter across internal and external stakeholders; championing vision, value, and future opportunities.
Who You Are β
- 10-12+ years in product management with 3-5+ leading B2B product teams or managing PMs (preferably in SaaS, data, consumer engagement, martech, or creator tools).
- Proven track record taking complex products from vision β launch β scale, balancing speed with quality.
- Strong systems and data thinking; able to partner with analytics teams and translate insights into roadmap decisions.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable presenting to executives, labels, and cross-functional partners.
- Adept at prioritization and trade-off decisions to drive roadmap clarity in evolving environments.
- Experience influencing engineering decision-making and navigating technical constraints without losing user value.
- Passionate mentor and leader β builds empowered teams, upholds high execution standards, and fosters a culture of collaboration and curiosity.
- Bonus: Experience in fan engagement, martech, data products, music/entertainment, or creator economy.
