We are looking for a Finance Associate, to help support the Senbla Managing Director and Finance Director. The role will be integral to manage the accounting and financial structure, aiding reporting mechanisms and day-to-day, monthly and annual financial activities of Senbla. The position will report directly to the Finance Director of Senbla, working very closely with the Sony Music Masterworks Finance team. This is a perfect opportunity for someone seeking a hands-on, pro-active role as they look to take their financial career to the next level, with scope to progress at a growing and very entrepreneurial team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who already has some experience within a busy finance department; someone who is trusted and self-assured, and with a genuine willingness to actively engage and participate in a commercial, team environment.
What you'll do:
- Perform accounting and finance functions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Aid with preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Prepare and submit monthly and full year forecasts (including Forecast and Budget variance analysis)
- Prepare financial analysis, reporting and commentary
- Prepare show/tour settlements for artists and agents
- Help to transition from external accounting support to in-house teams and migration to SAP.
- Responsibility for the accounts payable & accounts receivable functions
- Adhoc items / projects to support the MD and Finance Director
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree with concentration in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ICAEW, CIMA or ACCA)
- Disciplined self-starter
- Have working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, journal entries, general ledger, accruals
- Rigorous attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Previous experience delivering month, quarter and year end closes and processes
- Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Hands on in all aspects of accounting and financial activities
- Minimum 3 years of business experience in financial analysis and accounting duties
- Experience with Xero and/or SAP preferred
- Live Entertainment industry experience preferred
