Reporting to Sony Music Group's VP, Head of Global Learning, Performance & Growth, the Director, Learning Curator is responsible for designing and facilitating impactful learning experiences to enable skill/behavior growth and development, team effectiveness and enable individual and team high performance.
This role is expected to regularly facilitate a range of programs, learning experiences and/or group/individual coaching. The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge of learningexperience design, exceptional group facilitation skills and ideally be an ICF certified coach. Theyunderstand how to conduct robust learning needs analyses for teams and design creative in-personand digital learning experiences for both groups and individuals
What you'll do:
- Develop and facilitate live and virtual learning experiences that support the skill orbehavior development or knowledge transfer
- Lead business specific learning needs analyses to identify learning experiences forbusiness units or specialist skills
- Lead discussions with stakeholders and identify ways in which learning can help solvethe business need
- Facilitation of peer-learning group programs and group coaching as well as locallearning sessions as needed
- Act as an internal coach to future leaders and conduct 360 Leadership Feedback • Lead SMG’s Academy experiences – facilitate and partner with external partners, learning ambassadors & Performance and Growth Architects
- Continue to keep up to date on facilitation and coaching skills & emerging learningmodels/approaches
- Provide learning experience thought leadership and governance on all technical learningprojects as well as those supported by our vendors and other learning organizations
- Work with internal content designers and marketing team on all program communication materials
- Integrating appropriate metrics & reporting strategies into each learning program toensure learning application, effectiveness, and retention
- Driving the development of a learning culture through the implementation of new andengaging learning experiences, technology and knowledge sharing opportunities
- Support on Performance and Talent Management processes and experiences asneeded in partnership with the Director, Performance and Growth Architect
- Be the point of contact for your regions’ Business Learning Ambassadors and run train-the-trainer sessions as needed.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding experiences annually and as required for your region.
- Facilitate and host specialist skills sessions with business leader facilitators throughout the year and in alignment with local business plans.
- Recruit and maintain a healthy pool of Learning Ambassadors from across PX andbusiness teams to support in the delivery of relevant learning programs, providing them with appropriate learning, coaching and development.
- Support on any other ad hoc learning experience moments as required.
Who you are:
- You have demonstrable impact and experience designing, facilitating and executingimpactful group learning experiences
- You are a passionate learner staying current on research, emerging trends, and bestpractices in learning, facilitation, coaching and cultural psychology.
- You have the exceptional ability to build and nurture global relationships, influencestakeholders, and enable collaborative work environments.
- You are an excellent team player and can work independently.
- You can be in office and travel regularly to deliver programs and content as needed.
- You have exceptional presentation and facilitation skills – both live and digital.
- You are agile and can adapt your style and communication, based on differentaudiences
- You can adapt and flex content on the fly as needed with group dynamics and localcultural nuances.
- You are skilled in delivering 360 feedback.
- You are, or are working towards being a certified coach (International Coach Federationaccredited).
- You are licensed in Insights Discovery or other psychometric tools as a plus.
- You have previous experience with a major Learn Management System (LMS).
- You hold additional certifications or advanced learning in training/development orfacilitation and learning design.
