Each member of the Ministry team’s contribution is valuable, and all opinions are respected, no matter your role. As an intern, it’s not just about handling the admin and assisting the team – you’ll have the opportunity to add your ideas to artists’ social and digital campaigns and bring them to life. Your opinions on content, social media, virality, fan engagement, advertisement, innovation, new platforms are very much encouraged.

As a smaller label, we work closely together, across digital, marketing, A&R, and other central teams throughout Sony Music UK. It gives you the chance to learn the ins and outs of digital marketing within a label, plus gain deep insight into all corners of a major label group, building a wide foundation for your career in music.

  • Office attendance: Monday & Tuesday with a third day in on either Wednesday or Thursday
  • Flexibility: Minimum 3 days in the office
  • Offsite working: offsite shoots and shows are regular a occurrence where the digital intern collects content from artists and delivers edited assets for socials media

What you'll do:

  • You will be accountable for administration and coordination within the Digital Marketing team
  • Responsible for ensuring best practices are followed across digital platforms, socials and DSPs for releases
  • Contributing ideas and suggestions and vocalise your knowledge in team and label meetings
  • Establish yourself as a point of contact for any queries relating to these areas by forging strong relationships across the business and with external contacts
  • Assist the social media and Digital Marketing Managers in coordinating all artists’ promotional and marketing activity, including but not limited to asset creation and delivery, weekly reporting, and general housekeeping of artist channels
  • Involvement in day-to-day management of artists' social media accounts
  • Assist in digital advertising operations and managing budgets
  • Raise POs and maintain campaign budgets for digital marketing spends
  • Be proficient with analytics tools (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Spotify, Apple, Amazon, and Google) and maintain weekly reports
  • Present metrics of all social and CRM activity in digital and label meetings, as well as help build reports to share with wider teams
  • Build streaming reports containing data insights and marketing updates
  • Attend digital, label and sales meetings to discuss forthcoming releases, campaign updates, etc. Take meeting notes and isolate action points
  • Keep updated on market developments, competitors’ campaigns, new technologies, market conditions, interesting creative ideas, and new trends

Who you are:

  • This role suits a creative thinker and social media native who is immersed in entertainment, culture, and trends across all relevant short-form platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) within the music ecosystem, who has a passion to learn and develop their skills in a forward-thinking label
  • Content creation and editing skills
  • An interest in digital marketing is essential as well as general knowledge of artists on the scene or in the OCC
  • You love dance music and understand the value of dance culture
  • A strong comprehension and personal use of streaming platforms (such as Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon Music) is key to this role and will help in your day-to-day responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience (even self-taught) using video editing software, graphic editing software (even Canva), website CMS’, CRM sites like Mail Chimp are all a bonus to have as well

Process Overview

  • Applications openAugust 10th at 10:00 and close August 24th at 10:00. Candidates whose applications are selected will be invited to complete a video interview between September 28th and October 3rd.
  • Candidates who pass this stage will then be invited to the final stage of the process, an in-person assessment centre in early November. We will send further information on this stage before the date arrives.
  • Successful applicants will start in January 2027.
