SIE is a dynamic technology company, delivering cutting-edge hardware and network services to more than 100 million people and an entertainment leader, home to some of the most beloved and recognizable intellectual properties (IP) in the world.
The Global Marketing, Sales, and Business Operations (GMSBO) division brings together a global staff with a passion for engaging gamers with PlayStation’s extraordinary intellectual property. With teams in countries across the globe, we recognise the importance of balancing local relevance with a global perspective. Across our marketing, Direct to Consumer, channel partners, and services business, we work together to bring the best of the PlayStation experience to markets and channels around the world.
As part of GMSBO, the Executive Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) has a remit for supporting strategic initiatives to ensure coordinated action and execution. The core areas of focus are goals tracking, organisational alignment, knowledge management, process improvement, and initiative management. Further, the team coordinates and runs project plans for division activities related to bringing products to market in both new and known capacities and enable processes to create alignment and efficiency.
The Process Optimisation team within the EPMO is seeking a team manager (Contracted) for maternity backfill in a role that combines strong manager expertise in roles of deep process analysis and change management capabilities to drive impactful, sustainable transformation across complex business and system environments. Operating within a fast-paced, dynamic environment, this individual will engage with senior leaders and cross-functional teams on high-impact process redesign initiatives that demand discretion, analytical rigor, and strategic influence.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead and develop a globally distributed Process Optimisation team, managing capability, performance, and growth across process mapping, redesign, change management, and continuous improvement disciplines.
- Own team capacity planning and resource allocation, ensuring effective assignment of work across a portfolio of process optimisation initiatives aligned to business priorities.
- Act as the primary EPMO point of contact for process optimisation demand intake, evaluation, prioritisation, and backlog management, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and portfolio needs.
- Oversee delivery of a portfolio of process-related initiatives, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with organisational goals, while maintaining visibility of progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Step into initiatives as needed to lead, support, or unblock delivery, particularly for complex or high-priority efforts, operating flexibly across program and project-level activities.
- Drive delivery across key areas including process assessment, mapping, redesign, change management, and continuous improvement, ensuring structured and repeatable approaches.
- Establish and evolve ways of working, standards, and governance for process optimisation within the EPMO, aligned to broader portfolio and project management practices.
- Lead the development and scaling of the Process Center of Excellence (CoE), including methodologies, tools, templates, repositories, and best practices.
- Support the creation and rollout of the Change Management CoE, establishing consistent approaches to change enablement, stakeholder engagement, and adoption.
- Lead and evolve a continuous improvement (CI) self service, including identification, prioritisation, and delivery of improvement opportunities and management of an opportunity backlog.
- Partner with Strategic Portfolio Operations and EPMO leadership to ensure alignment between demand, prioritisation, and resource planning, contributing to overall portfolio transparency and effectiveness.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, facilitating alignment, providing structured recommendations, and supporting complex decision-making across cross-functional teams.
- Drive a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making, ensuring measurable value delivery from process initiatives.
- Ensure delivery aligns with EPMO governance, supporting activities across the full lifecycle from intake and planning through execution, monitoring, and retrospective.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience leading teams delivering process optimisation, transformation, or continuous improvement initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Strong experience managing demand intake, prioritisation, and resource allocation across a portfolio of work.
- Demonstrated ability to balance team leadership with hands-on delivery, stepping into projects where needed.
- Experience building or contributing to Centers of Excellence (CoE), including development of methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of process optimisation disciplines, including process mapping, redesign, change management, and continuous improvement.
- Experience working within or alongside PMO structures and matrixed organisations, with familiarity in governance, intake, and portfolio processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and translate them into actionable initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency with process, project, and change management tools (e.g., Visio, Signavio, Wrike, MS Project, Prosci, or equivalent).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Project Management and/or Lean Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
- Highly adaptable, with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environments.
