The Finance Business Partnering & Planning (BP&P) team is part of a vibrant organisation that brings together staff from around the world and plays a key role in supporting PlayStation’s Digital Store revenue through planning and forecasting. The Senior Finance Analyst will work under the Senior Manager, PlayStation Store, and be responsible for planning & forecasting the Digital Store’s revenue, leveraging machine‑learning forecasting models and AI to deliver business insight, identify risks and opportunities, improve forecasting accuracy and support commercial initiatives. The position requires an enthusiastic, flexible team player with strong analytical skills and excellent communication, thriving in a fast‑paced commercial environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Responsible for planning and analysis of a major section of the customer base of the PlayStation Digital Store, analysing sales trends and supporting decision making for these customers.
- Partnering with Data Science teams to refine machine‑learning models/methodologies to enhance accuracy and explainability.
- Working with IT teams to evolve and enhance the Digital Sales Planning tool.
- Collaborating with the Software Forecasting Centre of Excellence on methodologies, approach and alignment of forecasts.
- Serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, collaborating with stakeholders to drive data‑informed analysis and conversations.
- Executing on critical business analytics requests in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Communicating forecasts, findings, recommendations and insights effectively to senior Business and Finance stakeholders through presentations and meetings.
- Identifying and defining KPIs/standard metrics, and recommending long‑term plans that align with business needs.
- Managing stakeholders with the ability to engage, communicate and develop consensus internally and externally.
- Continuously improving processes and ways of working.
- Supporting the business to drive revenue and profit optimisation initiatives through business casing and post‑implementation reviews when required.
- Supporting a global team, requiring a flexible approach to working hours to accommodate business operations.
What we are looking for:
- CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified with 5+ years relevant professional experience in a commercial role.
- Revenue forecasting experience essential.
- Senior level business partner experience ideally at board or global level.
- High proficiency using Excel, PowerPoint and AI tools.
- Organised self‑starter, able to deliver under pressure and collaborate confidently with senior stakeholders across the wider business.
- Familiar with global and matrix ways of working, able to balance/prioritise multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Experience with planning systems e.g. Anaplan desirable.
- Experience with visualisation tools such as Domo, Qlikview or PowerBI desirable.
