Public Relations Manager
This role will require a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of one day per week on‑site and additional in‑office days as needed.

The SIE Global Communications team is looking for a dedicated, results‑driven Public Relations (PR) professional to join the Global Software Communications team.
Based out of our London, UK office, this role will support PR strategy and execution for Play Station’s exclusive games, helping to tell impactful stories across gaming and entertainment media for one of the world’s leading entertainment companies.
The Public Relations Manager will work across Play Station’s entire software portfolio, driving strategy and execution around product launches, events, media and influencer relations, in addition to supporting the department’s daily activities.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, creative, and highly collaborative individual who can develop and lead groundbreaking PR programs and campaigns that deliver impactful media coverage results on a global basis.
They should also be a strong writer, diligent and detail‑oriented, and experienced fostering relationships with media and other influencers.
They should be a confident and composed story‑teller who demonstrates both critical thinking and creativity, while staying on top of trends in gaming, digital entertainment and technology.
Expertise with leading product launches, review programs, events, and other PR‑related tactics is required.

Responsibilities
- Support and implement global PR strategy for Play Station’s exclusive games, with a strong focus on measurable media return on investment.
- Develop comprehensive, fully global PR plans and manage key tactics, such as media outreach, messaging development, event coordination, speaking opportunities, coverage reporting and asset distribution.
- Coordinate PR efforts globally across Play Station’s large network of local PR teams and agencies.
- Build and maintain relationships with credible media and influencers, securing compelling coverage with a particular focus on mainstream media.
- Work with Play Station Studios, development partners, and cross‑functional collaborators (e. g., Marketing, Brand Partnerships, Events) to define game messaging and implement media tactics with a high level of success.
- Develop written materials to support game launches, including press releases, fact sheets, messaging/Q&A, briefing materials, etc.
- Complete projects with minimal direction, run up to supervisor and department leadership, and keep the distributed team up‑to‑date on the various programs.
- Partner with the broader SIE Communications team, including platforms, services, corporate, and social media (content communications) to contribute to broader brand narratives and initiatives for both external and internal audiences.
- Offer strategic counsel to product stakeholders and manage crisis communications as needed.
- Leverage best‑in‑class tools and processes to foster new ideas and devise solutions to department‑wide improvements as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of public relations experience, ideally working with consumer‑facing brands or products.
- Experience managing projects and the ability to work collaboratively with others across a large global organization.
- Strong media relations experience with various outlets across consumer, technology, and business press.
- Skilled in handling multiple projects with the ability to work effectively across a large distributed team environment.
- Experience working for or with an external PR agency is preferred; in‑house PR experience is a plus.
- Experience working on online multiplayer game campaigns is a plus.
- Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and interpersonal.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, Slack, AI tools like Chat GPT and Copilot, etc.
