We are looking for an experienced Graphics engineer with experience in real time computer graphics or games to design and implement high-quality, game-like rendering scenarios to evaluate and showcase new graphics features.

Based in London, our team are part of the ‘Foundational Systems and Experiences Engineering’ group. We build the low-level SDKs and fundamental technologies used by our game development partners to create PlayStation Games. Our team are working on the latest GPU and Machine Learning technologies to deliver the next generation of high-performance computer graphics for PlayStation.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design and implement high-quality, game-like rendering scenarios to evaluate and showcase new graphics features.
  • Develop production-grade sample code, libraries, and tools for both internal teams and inclusion in the PlayStation SDK.
  • Collaborate with platform, tools, and studio teams worldwide to drive adoption and guidelines.
  • Influence graphics feature design through hands‑on prototyping and performance analysis.
  • Contribute to clear, maintainable, developer‑facing code and documentation.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong C/C++ with experience in game/game‑engine development (e.g., memory management, task management).
  • Strong real-time rendering experience, ideally with PlayStation 5 graphics APIs or comparable low-level console/modern graphics APIs.
  • Good understanding of GPU architecture and rendering pipelines.
  • Proficiency in HLSL (Shader Model 6) and modern shader development practices.
  • Strong debugging and performance analysis skills (CPU/GPU).
  • Excellent collaboration skills, comfortable working with globally distributed teams.
  • Working experience in development practices such as SCRUM and use of collaborative source control features in GitHub.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience in the industry.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with global illumination, ray tracing, or advanced lighting techniques.
  • Experience creating or editing game engines.
  • Experience building developer-facing samples, tools, or user documentation.
  • An open source body of work in GitHub or similar.
