Overview Retail Marketing Operations Placement Year Intern – Weybridge. Sony Europe has an opportunity for a penultimate-year university student to join the 2026 Sony Placement Year Intern cohort in the Retail Marketing Operations team. This is an Industrial Placement Year opportunity for the summer season.
Responsibilities Retail & Online Execution Coordination: support coordination and optimisation of retail and online execution activities across European markets.
Material Management: assist creation, distribution and coordination of retail and product-related materials across markets and stakeholders; track market implementation status and follow up on timelines and quality.
Operational & Administrative Support: support internal administrative processes related to retail and marketing activities, including documentation, approvals, and invoice-related processes; oversee product sample management and related operational logistics.
Market & Stakeholder Coordination: coordinate with multiple European markets and internal stakeholders to support smooth project execution; facilitate clear, timely communication regarding deliverables, timelines and status; coordinate local market requests including material distribution and translation requests.
Product Launch Support: provide operational and logistical support for product launches; prepare and organise materials; support through presentation assets, samples logistics for events and PR activities; assist the wider team during peak launch periods.
Who would suit this role? Penultimate-year student studying Business Management, Marketing or a related degree.
Highly organised and detail-oriented with strong administrative and coordination skills.
Able to manage multiple operational tasks accurately and within agreed timelines; proactive and reliable with strong follow-up.
Confident working with multiple stakeholders and markets in a fast-moving, multinational environment.
Clear and effective communicator with a positive, collaborative working style.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
