£27-30k + Uncapped commission on new business

We are seeking a proactive, results-driven Business Development Executive to join our growing AV and live event production team. You'll be the person out front - opening doors and building relationships with venues and hotels, agencies, brands and corporate clients across Scotland and key UK cities. Working closely with our Head of Sales & Partnerships, you'll generate new opportunities through proactive outreach by phone, email and LinkedIn, and turn first conversations into long-term clients. This is a hands-on, relationship-led role for someone who loves being client-facing and is energised by hitting targets.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Prepare compelling sales presentations and proposals to secure new contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding of new clients and delivery of services.
  • Qualify enquiries and progress opportunities through the sales process, working closely with the Head of Sales & Partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions and pipeline status in our CRM.
  • Conduct site visits and venue walkrounds with and without prospective clients.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote the organisation's offerings.
  • Understanding of tender process in the public and private sector.

Requirements

  • Proven sales experience, ideally within hotels, venues or events.
  • Confident using CRM software to manage a pipeline.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits.
  • A recognised qualification in business, marketing, or related fields is advantageous but not essential. We seek proven experience over qualifications.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for ambitious professionals eager to contribute to organisational growth while developing their career within a supportive environment.
