Sontex Machinery Ltd, based in West Yorkshire, is seeking a Service Engineer who will ensure optimum customer satisfaction by providing first-class electrical and mechanical support. This role involves repairing and refurbishing our range of packaging equipment and enhancing strong relationships with our growing customer base. This is a full-time position. Salary is dependent upon experience. Nationwide travel is an essential part of this role. Applicants would be ideally located within 25 miles of our office in Cleckheaton.
Responsibilities:
- Control situations whilst providing a high standard of customer service and having a flexible approach to work.
- Installation, commissioning, repairing and servicing our full range of packaging machinery at customer premises around the country.
- Carrying out training programs at customer premises.
- Loading products into machines, monitoring the packaging process when testing, troubleshooting or repairing any malfunction.
- Contacting customers from our office to organise your weekly working schedule to best utilise time efficiency.
- Assisting customers with spare part enquiries, orders, and technical queries when on site.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Substantial experience in electrical, electronic and mechanical disciplines is essential.
- Understanding and ability to fault diagnose problems with our wide range of packaging machinery is a must.
- Familiarity with machines, electrical parts, components and assembly are essential.
Must Haves:
- Good basic geographical knowledge of UK locations.
- UK full clean driving license.
- Occasional overnight stop-overs will be required.
