The role: We are looking for an enthusiastic and technically minded individual to join our Technical Illustration team.

This role would suit: Engineering graduates seeking their first professional role Technicians or engineers looking to move into technical illustration Junior Technical Illustrators looking to further develop their skills Candidates with an interest in engineering communication, product support or technical information management This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career within a major Technical Publications company.

Working among our knowledgeable and experienced team within our Technical Illustration department, you will get the exposure and training to develop your skills and progress your career within the Technical Publications industry.

The role will be producing illustrations for various world class manufacturers within the commercial, defence, aerospace, energy and rail industries; Creating Isometric Illustrations for customer Technical Manuals Compiling source data from the Customer Engineering Database to create Illustrations Manipulating 3D Models from the Customer Engineering Database Working closely with the Technical Authors Liaising with the customer engineering teams To be considered for this opportunity We are more interested in aptitude, attitude and potential than extensive experience.

Essential Degree, HND, apprenticeship or equivalent experience in an Engineering discipline, e. g.

Aerospace, Automotive, Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical An understanding of Engineering Drawings, Manufacturer Production Processes and 3D Models Experience in a CAD related software package A pro-active approach to problem solving and investigation Strong communications skills and able to work as part of an international team The capability to manage multiple tasks at once The ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing customer requirements Drive and enthusiasm to achieve customer quality criteria The capability to work to tight deadlines with minimal supervision Desirable Any of the following would be advantageous but are not required: Experience working in Aerospace, Defence, Manufacturing, Automotive, Rail, Energy or other engineering environments Exposure to document management, content management or product lifecycle management systems Understanding of product support, maintenance or Integrated Logistics Support Activities What Makes Someone Successful in This Role?
