We apply our expertise and innovation to the entire tool life-cycle from needs analysis and conception through critical design stages to serial manufacture. Our current service portfolio is current being expanded to include large site specific programmes and we are recruiting a tooling manager to implement and drive the programme. Engineering Project Manager- Roles and Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Engineering Project Manager has the following roles and responsibilities across multiple aligned programmes. Project Management: Onsite presence at customer site(s), driving engagement and expediting programme delivery Development and maintenance of process and methodology including but not limited to Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Performance Monitoring Responsibility for tooling P&L Responsibility for budget setting and monitoring Weekly and Monthly reporting to internal and external stakeholders Scheduling at a programmatic level, coordinating inputs from Design and Manufacture functions Commercial and Technical responsibility for Request for Quotations (RFQ) and Call for Tenders (CFT) in response to customer requests Strategic implementation of innovation for both Design and Manufacturing streams Resourcing and load management for entire project team Risk management for entire programme including assessment and actions Responsibility for the performance of the tooling programme team including Performance Reviews, Skills Management, training and mentoring Team motivation Manufacturing: Direct responsibility of Manufacturing Engineer Oversight and responsibility for Approved suppliers and their performance Strategic responsibility for developing manufacturing Supply Chain Drive manufacturing innovation through the implementation new methods and process Design: Direct responsibility of Design Engineer(s) Oversight and responsibility for the design process, tools and infrastructure Liaison: Liaison with internal and external stakeholders are varying levels of business in commercial, procurement, design and manufacture domains. Onsite presence at customer sites and primary Point of Contact (POC) for contracts. HSE: Preparation of Risk Reviews for all onsite activity for company personnel Maintenance of HSE plans and Policy Internal training of HSE aspects to all relevant company personnel Quality and performance: Interface with and support transnational quality function Support onsite and offsite validation exercises Engineering Project Manager- The right candidate will have the following experience: Experience of project management of large programmes including commercial, financial, resources and technical aspects Minimum of degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Demonstrable experience in the aeronautical / aerospace domain Working knowledge of design and manufacturing principles, technologies and supply chains Experience of working with Tooling equipment (both design and manufacture) a distinct advantage.
