Boots Hearingcare is part of the Sonova family. Together, we’re driven by a shared vision: a world where everyone can enjoy the delight of hearing. We combine personalised audiological care—comprehensive assessments, expert fittings, and dedicated aftercare—with cutting-edge hearing technology, from hearing aids to cochlear implants. Backed by Sonova’s decades of industry-leading innovation, we’re proud to improve hearing health, strengthen human connection, and help more people engage fully with the world around them.

If you enjoy working directly with customers, supporting clinical care, and being part of a service that genuinely changes lives, this Hearing Wellness Advisor role offers a rewarding entry point into a long-term audiology career. You’ll play a key role in supporting customers throughout their hearing journey, while building the experience, skills, and qualifications needed to progress into clinical audiology—backed by the scale, stability, and investment of Boots Hearingcare.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role with real responsibility, structured development, and a clear future pathway. In this role, you will work across all 3 Leeds locations—Thorpe Park, Birstall and Whiterose.

The clinic environment includes:

  • Access to the latest hearing technology and hearing aid solutions
  • Structured diaries and appointment-based services
  • Strong clinical and operational support
  • Clear processes and high standards of care

As a Hearing Wellness Advisor, you’ll:

  • Be the first point of contact for customers, providing a warm and professional welcome
  • Carry out hearing screenings and pre-clinic checks
  • Support hearing aid maintenance, aftercare, and troubleshooting
  • Assist Audiologists with clinic flow and customer preparation
  • Confidently discuss hearing health, ear care products, and next steps with customers
  • Manage administration, appointments, and customer records accurately
  • Play an active role in delivering a high-quality, customer-centric service

You’ll be trusted with responsibility and supported to grow your capability over time.

From day one, you’ll receive structured training to build confidence and clinical understanding, including sessions at our Boots Hearingcare Academy in Llandudno. Training is delivered over several months, with all accommodation and expenses covered, and is supported by hands-on experience in store. This role offers a clear progression route: Hearing Wellness Advisor → QHAD → Audiologist. With strong performance, you can progress onto our fully funded Qualification in Hearing Aid Dispensing (QHAD) programme, leading to a qualified Hearing Aid Audiologist role.

Entry requirements:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade C / 5 or above in Maths, English, and Science
  • Strong performance and customer focus
  • Ability to balance academic study with clinical practice

What’s in it for you:

  • Salary: £24,780 per annum
  • Monthly bonus scheme
  • Boots Discount Card
  • Free hearing aids (if required as an employee)
  • Free flu vaccination (discounted for family members)
  • Pension scheme (including salary sacrifice)
  • Life assurance
  • Flexible Benefits Box – tailor your package
  • Telus wellbeing support – confidential support inside and outside work
  • 25 days annual leave, increasing to 30 with service, plus bank holidays
  • Long service awards recognising your contribution

We’re looking for:

  • A strong customer-service background (healthcare or retail ideal)
  • Confidence working with customers in a consultative environment
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and administration skills
  • A genuine interest in hearing health and progression into audiology
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science to support future QHAD entry
