We are now looking for a proactive and detail-driven Assistant Accountant to support core Finance operations and play a key role in period-end reporting, reconciliations and workflow improvement.

About the Role: This role sits at the heart of our Finance team. It is hands-on, detail-focused and critical for maintaining accuracy, control and efficiency in our financial processes. You will work closely with our Finance Manager and wider team, supporting management accounts, reconciling financial data, ensuring timely reporting and contributing to stronger financial governance across the business. This is a great role for someone who enjoys structure, accuracy and problem solving, and who wants to develop their experience in a supportive environment with scope for growth.

What You Will Support, Deliver & Contribute To:

  • Support monthly management accounts and period-end processes
  • Produce daily, weekly and monthly financial reporting packs
  • Process expense and credit-card transactions via Concur
  • Maintain balance-sheet reconciliations and financial records
  • Process supplier invoices, ServiceNow tickets and payment requests
  • Monitor finance KPIs and assist with forecast/budget inputs
  • Identify ways to streamline workflows and improve accuracy
  • Support continuous improvement and automation initiatives

  • Has strong Excel capability and confidence with financial systems
