About The Role
The EMEA Merchandising Programme Manager is accountable for the full operational running of Sonos' point‑of‑sale estate across the EMEA region. Spanning 3,800+ displays in 17 countries, this role requires both attention to detail and the ability to step back and assess the region as a whole. This role sits at the intersection of global marketing, regional commercial teams and a network of external agencies. You will translate the global retail toolkit into clear, well‑structured briefs for agency partners, hold those partners accountable to agreed standards and timelines, and drive continuous improvement in how the programme operates. Internally, you will work closely with the Senior Commercial Marketing Manager, regional Commercial Marketing Managers, the Global Brand Experience team, Finance and Legal. You are connecting the strategy to the execution, ensuring all parties are informed, aligned and delivering to the standard Sonos expects at store level.
The role suits someone who is highly organised, an effective communicator across internal and external stakeholders, and comfortable using performance data and market insight to drive decisions that work for the region as a whole.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme and Project Management
- Own end-to‑end EMEA POS programme management with agency partner executional support: estate integrity, display rollouts, ad hoc installations, relocations and dismantling across all markets.
- Lead cross‑functional coordination with Finance, Legal, regional Commercial Marketing and the Global Commercial Activation & Enablement team.
- Drive onboarding of new agencies and Sonos stakeholders, ensuring clear processes, ownership and SLAs.
- Own the EMEA POS budget: forecasting, tracking and reconciling spend across all vendors and markets, with monthly reporting to Finance.
- NPI Rollouts and Retrofits
- Lead EMEA execution of all new product introduction (NPI) POS retrofits and rollouts, from initial briefing and prototype review through to in‑store completion and final reporting.
- Coordinate regional requirements, store lists, tour plans and installation partners for each NPI wave.
- Manage NPI budgets, PO tracking and invoice approval; deliver regular rollout reports to the Senior Commercial Marketing Manager and Global Brand Experience.
- Capture post‑rollout learnings and implement process improvements ahead of subsequent launches.
- Agency and Supplier Management
- Brief, steer, monitor and evaluate all EMEA POS production and installation partners.
- Review and negotiate rate cards; manage SLA validation and escalation, and oversee contract renewals in conjunction with Legal and Procurement.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and drive continuous improvement across the supply base.
- Data and Business Intelligence
- Standardise reporting across all agency partners to enable clear operational visibility and business intelligence.
- Evaluate and implement efficiency improvements in partnership with the Global Brand Experience team, including connected display technology and automation opportunities.
- Artwork, Content and Translations
- Coordinate POS artwork production, agency briefings, localisation and translation workflows across all markets.
- Track artwork budgets and ensure timely delivery aligned to NPI and campaign calendars.
Essential - About You
- 5+ years of experience in retail operations, POS or visual merchandising programme management, ideally within consumer electronics, lifestyle or premium FMCG.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑market programmes across EMEA, including agency management, multi‑currency budgets, cross‑functional stakeholder coordination and multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Commercially confident: experienced in budget ownership, PO management, invoice review and finance reporting.
- A collaborative team player who can build effective relationships cross‑functionally.
- Excellent communicator; able to operate confidently at all levels from partner agencies to senior leadership.
Nice to Have
- Fluency in a second European language (German or French preferred).
