We are looking for a motivated Business Analyst to support our sourcing teams and contract manufacturing partners in the sourcing of direct supply chain components and parts. These could include specific parts related to any of Sonos' products in mass production or development. This role will report to one of our Sourcing Group Managers.
You will be a member of our Sourcing Organization supporting the development, implementation and management of strategies that provide Sonos with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality and delivery performance. This Business Analyst builds and leverages strong working relationships with our engineering teams and key suppliers to assure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met. They work toward supporting our engineering and operation teams in optimising total cost of ownership to achieve maximum advantage for Sonos and our customers.
Sonos operates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where flexibility and adaptability are essential for success. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who is highly motivated and brings a foundational understanding of sourcing principles and best practices. This is a hybrid role, based in our Glasgow, UK office. This role is expected to be in our Glasgow office a minimum of 3 days per week.
Responsibilities- Sourcing data management
- Collect, interpret, and analyse supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for optimisation
- Drive analytics to support price negotiations, inventory management, and other processes to ensure that Sonos' supply chain is world class
- Identify areas for process improvement within the supply chain and recommend data-driven solutions
- Generate regular reports on supply chain metrics, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) and areas of concern
- Assist in the analysis looking for cost reduction and inventory management activities
- Report and present data findings in Tableau
- Collaborate with other Global Sourcing Managers and Material Planning Management teams
- Monitor current category market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges & opportunities
- Analyse current spend and evaluate current suppliers. Look for opportunities to consolidate spend across the supply base to create leverage, analyse purchasing trends and develop sourcing alternatives. Identify new, high potential suppliers.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering and/or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in G-Suite, Excel and ideally PLM systems
- Technically inquisitive - must be able to take on new technical challenges and learn new technical skills on-the-fly and apply the knowledge to solve the issue at hand
- Detail-oriented, with genuine curiosity about 'how and why'
- Strong sense of ownership and excellent time management
- Well-developed reporting and communication skills, including the ability to explain and summarise complicated issues
