We have exciting opportunity for a new Process Quality Analysts to join our Quality Team (on Monday to Friday 12hour rotating shift pattern) at our plant based in Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.
The Process Quality Analyst will support all Quality Assurance activities on all the manufacturing lines, reporting to the Quality Manager of the Plant. The role is part of the overall Quality team onsite.
The successful candidate will need to understand customer quality requirements and manufacturing specifications and thereby provide sound and prompt advice to team members, managers, and site leadership team via analysis of quality data and trends. This ensures that the product remains within critical control parameters. The work input is critical in continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to quality control systems and standards.
Principle Accountabilities Include;
- Responsibility for promoting all aspects of Quality control, Quality Assurance and Site standards.
- Fully understanding and promoting customer product Quality standards across all lines and shifts.
- Stop production and trigger isolations of product if specification and standards are not being met.
- Provide the link between shift production teams and the quality team by communicating quality and hygiene requirements throughout the shift.
- Plan and control all shift quality and hygiene activities to ensure compliance with ISO, Food Safety & Company standards as well as all Sonoco Quality requirements.
- Ensure that shift crews work to the protocols defined by our control plans
- Ensure all quality measurement gauging is maintained, within calibration and to provide initial fault diagnosis on suspect equipment. This will also include all vision inspection systems are maintained, scans are verified, performance is correct and to provide initial fault diagnosis on suspect equipment.
- Prepare regular shift quality reports to be used in daily production meetings.
- Attend daily production meetings and/or to represent the plant during customer audits and at customer sites as appropriate.
- Ensure that all critical process control parameters are maintained within specification.
- Work pro-actively with the manufacturing team and use your own initiative based on data and information available.
- Be able to analyse and monitor trends in machine capability performance.
- Support Quality and departmental improvement projects and trials.
- Provide Quality input for root cause analysis based on non-conformities and complaints
- Carry out internal Audits.
- Provide a central point of reference regarding customer or Plant-related ongoing quality issues.
- Work flexibly in any work area as far as safety and capability permit.
The successful candidate will be computer literate with tools such as MS Excel and SharePoint.
