This role is responsible for ensuring all raw materials are available to meet customer requirements and line plans. Maintaining stock levels in line with budgetary requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Forecasting of all raw material requirements based on short and long term production plans and system forecasts
- Order management – PO’s raised/receipted for all purchases in line with approved supplier list
- Building strong relationships with Suppliers.
- Resolving delivery/invoice queries on all related purchases.
- Report & review on a monthly basis all slow moving materials.
- System reconciliation – Alignment of stock control systems, ensuring all systems are accurate and up to date.
- Completion of monthly stock checks.
- Completion of all month end activity for all raw materials, packaging and chemicals.
- Monitor/report OTIF performance for all Suppliers.
- Stock control and ordering of stretch wrap and strapping.
- Management of metal scrap removal – coordinating collections and trailer exchanges.
- Ordering and management of packaging items ensuring the packaging pool is always sufficient to support demand.
