The Department of Brain Sciences is looking for a Laboratory Manager to join the team. The post holder will play a vital role in the administration and management of the research laboratories at the White City Campus.

What you would be doing:

  • You will have responsibility for the day to day running of the laboratories in the Department of Brain Sciences.
  • You will support the Divisional Heads as well as Principal Investigators in the management of their labs and in executing their Health and Safety responsibilities and will be supported by a Laboratory Support Assistant.
  • You will lead the Departmental Sustainability Team on the White City campus and will be responsible for maintaining the Gold LEAF award and driving forward the Green Impact application.
  • You will maintain the laboratory consumable stocks and be responsible for procurement for the department.

What we are looking for:

  • BSc degree in a biological or medical subject, or equivalent.
  • Experience of laboratory management.
  • Experience as a Safety Co-ordinator for a research group.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
