This is a part time role (14 h/w) the part time salary will be pro-rata of the full time salary stated (£40,201 -£44,722).
About the role
Applications are invited for the position of Network Co-ordinator for the UKRI Fungal One Health and Antimicrobial Resistance (F1AMR) Network in the Department of Infectious Disease, Imperial College London. This is an exciting role supporting network activities aimed at integrating transdisciplinary researchers, key stakeholders and governmental organisations within a network framework. This will involve coordination of focussed working groups, outreach and network meetings, and coordination with the other UKRI AMR networks.
FIAMR is one of 8 networks around antimicrobial resistance, recently funded by the UKRI. Imperial College leads the F1AMR Network, with project partners in Exeter, Manchester, Nottingham and Edinburgh. The Network Co-ordinator will lead day-to-day operational management of the F1AMR Network.
What you would be doing
This is a busy role with a varied range of operational tasks and responsibilities involving liaison and collaboration with a wide range of contacts both internally and externally.
The key activities requiring support are the organisation of F1AMR meetings and communications within the Network, as well as providing support and guidance to partner sites. In addition, you will support the development of Phase 2 grant applications through the Network.
Key responsibilities:
- Event management: you will plan, organise and oversee Network Meetings in the UK.
- Operational management: you will be responsible for communication with partners, outreach and act as a first point of contact for all enquiries.
- You will manage the network budget and support development of bids for further funding.
- You will co-ordinate reporting to the funder.
What we are looking for
We are seeking a graduate with strong communication skills and financial management experience.
Essential criteria include:
- Experience of co-ordinating small and large-scale meetings.
- Ability to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
- Experience of financial management including budgeting, forecasting, monitoring and reporting.
- Ability to manage and prioritise own workload effectively to meet deadlines and to respond effectively to changing demands and priorities.
- Ability to take the initiative to identify challenges and suggest solutions.
- Strong writing skills – able to produce clear and concise written material for communication and administrative purposes.
- Strong verbal communication skills – able to interact effectively with others, and to provide positive input into discussions.
- A meticulous approach and attention to detail.
- Ability to keep records including minutes, and to manage / collate information for reports.
