Do you have a passion for building impactful industry–academic partnerships and delivering high-quality engagement experiences? As Partner Engagement Manager, you will play a key role in delivering Imperial College London’s Imperial Business Partners (IBP) programme. You will manage relationships with assigned corporate members, ensuring they benefit from meaningful connections to Imperial’s world‑leading research, talent and innovation ecosystem. Working as part of a dynamic Partner Engagement team, you will help shape and deliver a compelling programme of activity, supporting member retention, growth and long‑term value.
What you would be doing:
- Manage relationships with assigned IBP members, acting as a trusted and proactive point of contact.
- Deliver a high‑quality, engaging programme of activities, including events, workshops and bespoke partner engagements.
- Connect corporate partners to relevant academics, research and innovation opportunities across Imperial.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the IBP programme, supporting member retention and growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams (including Enterprise, Communications and Marketing) to design engaging content and ensure strong participation.
- Gather partner feedback and insights to continuously improve the programme and enhance member experience.
- Support business development activities, including identifying new opportunities and promoting IBP’s value proposition.
- Manage operational delivery, including coordination of suppliers, budgets, reporting and CRM updates.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in relationship management and/or business development, with the ability to create opportunities and support delivery in complex environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with credibility to build trust and influence senior academic and corporate audiences.
- Proven ability to manage and deliver projects, including coordinating activities and engaging stakeholders across matrix organisations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce high‑quality content for both corporate and academic audiences.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of industry–academic collaboration (experience in HE or with corporates desirable).
- Highly organised and self‑motivated, able to manage multiple priorities and deliver to a high standard.
- Strong interpersonal, listening and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to gather insights and respond effectively to partner needs.
- Creative thinker, able to develop engaging programme content and drive continuous improvement.
