Responsibilities
- Work within the Haematology and Blood Transfusion sections, performing routine analyses under the supervision of Biomedical Scientists.
- Support the 24/7 operational requirements of the UCLH haematology laboratory, including routine haematology, coagulation, and blood film morphology services.
- Participate in an extended‑hours/night duty rota, with a typical pattern of three nights per week and additional night pay via enhancement claims.
- Assist with the Blood Transfusion service for UCLH capacity, supporting plasma exchange and red cell exchange services.
- Maintain high quality standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laboratory protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to handle a varied workload, including oncology haematology, haemoglobinopathy support and advanced therapies such as CAR‑T.
