Bank contract, primarily overnight shifts (80 % nights, 20 % days)

Salary

£13.85 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Work within the Haematology and Blood Transfusion sections, performing routine analyses under the supervision of Biomedical Scientists.
  • Support the 24/7 operational requirements of the UCLH haematology laboratory, including routine haematology, coagulation, and blood film morphology services.
  • Participate in an extended‑hours/night duty rota, with a typical pattern of three nights per week and additional night pay via enhancement claims.
  • Assist with the Blood Transfusion service for UCLH capacity, supporting plasma exchange and red cell exchange services.
  • Maintain high quality standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laboratory protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to handle a varied workload, including oncology haematology, haemoglobinopathy support and advanced therapies such as CAR‑T.
