About the role: Sonic Healthcare is seeking an experienced Workday Data Analyst to play a key role in our Workday implementation programme. Reporting into the Head of HR Systems, this position will lead and support data migration and reporting activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Migration & Transformation
- Lead data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities for the Workday implementation.
- Extract, analyse, and validate data from legacy systems.
- Cleanse, transform, and reconcile data to ensure absolute accuracy and consistency.
- Define and implement robust data transformation rules.
- Support all migration cycles, including mock loads, testing, and final cutover.
- Workday Reporting & Administration
- Design, build, and maintain Workday reports and dashboards (Advanced, Matrix, and Composite).
- Develop complex calculated fields to support evolving business requirements.
- Establish and administer the Workday reporting framework, including governance and access controls.
- Act as Reporting Administrator, ensuring best practices, security adherence, and data integrity.
- Translate business needs into scalable, user-friendly reporting and analytical solutions.
- Build management dashboards and executive scorecards post go-live.
- Integrations & EIB Management
- Support overall Workday integrations, throughout Hypercare.
- Monitor integration performance and troubleshoot runtime issues.
- Maintain and optimise integration processes post-implementation.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Workday Data Analyst within a fast-paced implementation environment.
- Strong expertise in data migration, ETL processes, and data transformation.
- Good working knowledge of SQL for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
- Hands-on, deep expertise with Workday reporting tools.
- Experience managing Workday reporting administration, security, and governance frameworks.
- Strong proficiency with EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builders).
- Demonstrated experience building management dashboards and analytics scorecards.
- Excellent analytical, data validation, and reconciliation skills.
- Ability to work at pace and hit the ground running within a live project environment.
- Experience with broader Workday integrations (Core Connectors, Workday Studio).
- Functional exposure to Workday HCM, Payroll, or Learning modules.
- Experience across a full Workday implementation lifecycle (Plan through Deploy).
