Contract / Hours: Permanent, 40 hours per week
Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum, depending on experience
The role provides high‑quality administrative and secretarial support to the diagnostic team, including transcribing dictation, typing reports, handling telephone queries, and managing confidentiality and GDPR compliance. The candidate will work both independently and as part of a team, prioritise workload, and maintain composure under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical secretarial and administrative support to consultants and registrars.
- Transcribe dictation and type pathology reports.
- Handle telephone queries and other enquiries.
- Prioritise workload and use own initiative under the Office Manager’s guidance.
- Maintain confidentiality and knowledge of GDPR.
- Work accurately and methodically in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications
- Proven medical secretarial experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong background in diagnostic reporting and administration within NHS or private clinical settings.
