Based in Wallsend Up to 76 hours per fortnight Mix of hands-on participant support and focused admin time Ongoing mentoring and leadership development Who are we? Supported Independent Living As a SIL provider, Songbird offers disability accommodation and daily life assistance so that participants can achieve as much independence as possible. We provide 24/7 supported living homes throughout the Hunter region, including Maitland, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Raymond Terrace, Cessnock and beyond! Who are you? Demonstrated leadership capability including: Effective communication and negotiation skills A team-focused approach Good problem solving capability and attention to detail Experience working with participants that require support with both behavioural and medical needs Industry Requirements: A Certificate III or higher in Disability, Individual Support or Aged Care, or be enrolled in your second year of study towards your higher qualification in a relevant field ( required ) 1 years’ experience within the Disability, Health, and/or Care industry required ) (behaviour support and mental health experience preferred) A Current First Aid and CPR Certificate ( required ) NDIS Worker Screen Check ( required ) Valid Australian Driver Licence (Red Provisional – minimum) ( required ).
