An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Valuation Surveyor to join a well-established and highly regarded commercial property consultancy. The role sits within a specialist valuation team providing high-quality, RICS-compliant advice across a diverse range of commercial assets.

The business advises a broad client base including property companies, lenders, pension funds, developers, and private investors, delivering clear, robust valuations underpinned by deep market insight and transactional evidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake commercial property valuations across multiple sectors including office, retail, industrial, and alternative assets
• Deliver valuations for a range of purposes, including:
  • Loan security for banks and financial institutions
  • Financial reporting and accounting
  • Taxation (CGT, IHT, capital allowances)
  • Development appraisals and feasibility studies
  • Expert witness and litigation support
• Prepare detailed, accurate, and well-supported valuation reports in line with RICS Red Book standards
• Manage and execute portfolio valuations for institutional and private clients
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
• Support business development activities, including winning new instructions and expanding existing client accounts
• Collaborate with internal teams across investment, asset management, and development to provide holistic advice
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development

Requirements

• MRICS qualified and RICS Registered Valuer
• Proven experience in commercial property valuation within a consultancy environment
• Strong understanding of UK valuation methodologies, reporting standards, and market dynamics
• Experience working with lenders, investors, and institutional clients
• Ability to manage multiple instructions and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and report-writing capability
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach to client service and business development
• Experience valuing complex or specialist assets (e.g. healthcare, education, leisure, or development sites)
• Track record of generating fee income or building client relationships
• Familiarity with valuation software (e.g. Argus)

We are looking for an experienced RICS registered valuer to join our Commercial Valuations team based within our Head Office in London. The role will have a particular focus on providing valuations for loan security purposes to all major banks. Our London based valuations team cover the whole of London and the south-east region and report on a wide range of properties including commercial investment properties, operational assets, residential developments, commercial and mixed-use developments.

• Work within the existing valuation team in London, providing valuations for loan security (vacant possession and investment), internal decision-making purposes, tax and financial reporting purposes.
• Carry out inspections, calculating floor and site areas, comparable research, demographic and economic research, planning and statutory enquiries, company trading analysis, lease reading and summarising, development / option agreement reading and reviewing, preparation of valuations / development appraisals
• Contribution to the growth of the business by identifying new business opportunities across the Commercial valuation sector.
• Assist in the delivery of major projects.

What will it take to be successful?

You will be an experienced chartered surveyor and registered valuer, with a strong knowledge of valuations across commercial assets. You will have good working knowledge of relevant legislation and will ideally have a strong understanding of the local market to be able to identify new opportunities to grow the business further. Travel will be required in this role, and a driving licence is essential.

Based in our Abu Dhabi office, we are seeking an experienced Senior Valuer to support and deliver high-quality commercial valuation assignments. The successful candidate will be RICS qualified, technically strong, and capable of managing valuation instructions independently while contributing to market research, client relationships, and the ongoing development of the valuation service line.

Responsibilities

Valuation & Technical Delivery

• Undertake commercial valuation instructions accurately, efficiently, and in line with RICS standards.
• Prepare clear, well-structured valuation reports with limited supervision.
• Ensure all valuations are supported by robust market evidence, research, and analysis.
• Maintain orderly and accurate file records, including digital records, in accordance with internal procedures.
• Fully understand and utilise office technology, valuation software, and internal systems.
• Conduct site inspections, analyse market data, and apply appropriate valuation methodologies.

Market Knowledge & Research

• Build and maintain a strong understanding of GCC property markets, including relevant legislation, valuation standards, and best practice.
• Keep informed about market trends, property press, and wider economic factors affecting valuations.
• Liaise with the research and strategic consultancy teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

Client Interaction

• Respond promptly and professionally to client enquiries.
• Support the development of client relationships through high-quality service delivery.
• Attend industry events and meetings to represent the department and promote the firm.
• Build trust, confidentiality, and goodwill with existing and prospective clients.
• Work effectively with colleagues across departments to gather data and identify cross-selling opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate or a RICS-accredited discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ commercial valuation experience in the UAE or similar markets.
• MRICS and RICS Registered Valuer required.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical capability.
• Excellent report writing skills and clear communication style.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build professional relationships.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple deadlines.
• Understanding of regional business culture and regulatory frameworks.
