We’re looking for a confident, personable and passionate Section Waiter to join the Front of House team at Sonder.
You’ll be responsible for delivering warm, knowledgeable and attentive service throughout your section, whilst working independently and as part of the wider team.

Chef-owned, with over 13 years of experience in professional kitchens, we're building a small but experienced team who care about hospitality, enjoy coming to work and want to create a great atmosphere for both our guests and each other.

All of our food is made in-house, alongside our own butchery and baking.

The Role
As a Section Waiter, you'll take ownership of your section throughout service, ensuring every guest receives warm, attentive and knowledgeable hospitality from the moment they sit down until they leave.
You'll be responsible for understanding the menu, communicating confidently with guests, taking accurate orders and ensuring food and drinks are delivered smoothly and efficiently.
A great Section Waiter understands that excellent service is about being aware of what's happening around you.
You'll need to anticipate guest needs, communicate clearly with the kitchen and wider Front of House team, and manage the pace of your section without compromising the guest experience.

- Check back with guests appropriately without being intrusive
- Clear and reset tables efficiently whilst maintaining presentation standards
- Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented section throughout service
- Process payments accurately and professionally
- Complete opening and closing duties to the required standard

- Communicate clearly and proactively with the kitchen, bar, host and wider Front of House team
- Keep colleagues informed of guest requests, allergies, celebrations and any other relevant information
- Support other sections when required and contribute to the smooth running of the restaurant
- Help maintain a positive and supportive team environment
- Understand that whilst you own your section, the overall guest experience belongs to the whole team

- Maintain Sonder's standards of service, presentation and hospitality at all times
- Develop a strong knowledge of our food, wine, cocktails, coffee and wider drinks offering
- Understand and confidently communicate allergen information
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and licensing procedures
