Overview
Due to continued success, our client, a global FMCG leader, has instructed Sonatec to locate a Compliance Specialist to join its Asset Care team. This is a highly visible and collaborative position responsible for driving engineering compliance across maintenance activities, ensuring alignment with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality regulations, and internal governance standards.
Working closely with Site Management, Maintenance, and Risk & Governance teams, you will lead the compliance agenda across all engineering documentation, inspections, systems, and process safety.
This is a hybrid consultative and authoritative role, where your ability to influence and lead without direct control will be essential.
Responsibilities
- Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards
- Manage statutory inspection data in SAP and British Engineering Services systems
- Maintain Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) documentation and audit readiness
- Drive completion of actions under the Management of Change (MoC) system
- Coordinate maintenance systems via SAP, EQMS, Enablon and SharePoint
- Maintain Compliance KPIs and Visual Management tools
- Prepare for HSE, SEPA, GAR, and CARM audits
- Promote safety culture and serve as a Safety Ambassador
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislative changes and engineering standards
- Participate actively in the Manufacturing Excellence agenda
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Degree or HNC in Engineering (or equivalent practical experience)
- Strong understanding of SAP and reliability/maintenance data tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and independently
Experience
- 5+ years in a production, service or technical environment
- Ability to influence across functions and lead process improvements
