Senior Business Consultant in City of London

We are seeking a Senior Business Consultant to lead AI-driven transformation initiatives across client organizations and internal business units. This role is a hands-on, outcomes-focused partner to solution and enterprise architects — helping shape the right problem, define pragmatic target-state roadmaps, and accelerate delivery from discovery to pilot to scale. The role combines strategic advisory, program leadership, and commercial acumen to drive AI adoption, scale use cases, and unlock measurable business value and rapid time-to-impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Advisory & AI Strategy
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and partner closely with solution/enterprise architects to shape feasible, secure, and scalable AI approaches.
  • Lead value discovery, define architect-aligned roadmaps, and prioritise initiatives for rapid time-to-value with clear success metrics.
  • Translate business priorities into scalable AI/GenAI solutions and investment cases, articulating architecture options, trade-offs, and value realisation.
• Program Leadership & Governance
  • Own end-to-end delivery from ideation to PoC to pilot to production readiness, removing blockers and accelerating decisions in partnership with architects and engineering.
  • Establish governance, guardrails, and success metrics (security, compliance, cost, performance) with reference architectures and value realisation frameworks.
  • Coordinate with offshore delivery teams to ensure predictable execution, quality, and rapid iteration cycles that deliver measurable outcomes.
• Use Case Shaping & Solutioning
  • Identify, prioritise, and shape high-impact AI use cases across business functions.
  • Co-design solution architectures (copilots, agentic workflows, RAG systems) with architects/engineering, leveraging reusable patterns and accelerators.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, data platforms/landing zones, and security standards to enable safe scale.
• Commercial Ownership & Growth
  • Lead AI-led consulting engagements by articulating clear business value drivers, quantified benefits, and urgency tied to client priorities.
  • Shape proposals and solution pitches that connect business outcomes to architectural choices, leveraging architects to de-risk feasibility and timelines.
  • Build compelling business cases, ROI narratives, and pricing constructs that clearly show path-to-value from pilot to scale.
  • Drive account growth by expanding the transformation roadmap, identifying adjacent value pools, and aligning near-term wins to a longer-term AI vision.
• Executive Stakeholder Engagement
  • Facilitate value discovery sessions, visioning workshops, and executive forums to paint the end-state vision and align stakeholders on “why change, why now”.
  • Translate complex AI and architecture concepts into clear executive narratives that enable confident decision-making.
  • Partner with architects to proactively address IT concerns, constraints, and dependencies, reducing friction and accelerating approvals.
  • Influence senior leaders by anchoring discussions in business value, risk mitigation, and delivery realism, not just technology potential.
• Adoption & Change Enablement
  • Develop reusable value discovery frameworks, roadmapping templates, and storytelling assets that help teams consistently connect architecture to outcomes.
  • Partner with architects to codify repeatable patterns, guardrails, and accelerators that reduce IT overhead on future engagements.
  • Contribute to internal and external thought leadership by sharing practical lessons on scaling AI from pilot to production.
  • Help elevate the organisation’s consulting maturity by reinforcing a culture of business-led transformation enabled by architecture.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10–15+ years in consulting, digital transformation, or AI program delivery (3–5 years in AI consulting), with a track record of partnering with architects to deliver outcomes.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale AI/GenAI initiatives.
• Strong exposure to industries including healthcare & life sciences, retail & manufacturing, and banking & financial services.
• Hands-on low-code apps and automation development, including rapid prototyping of copilots/agents (e.g., vibe coding) to validate value and architectural fit.

Core Skills

• AI/ML and GenAI fundamentals (LLMs, RAG, AI agents, MLOps).

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or equivalent business qualification.
• Certifications in AI/LC-NC development.
